Marie Pretorius is the charismatic co-owner and founder of Cosmetique 2000.

She has over 49 years of experience within the beauty industry supported by studies from leading London and Paris beauty therapist schools.

Her passion lies within ensuring that the customers each receive the personalised attention that Cosmetique 2000 is known and respected for.

She undertakes to consult with each customer to develop a personal beauty prescription and is in contact with her clients regularly. Marie reaches out to customers irrespective of their location as her consultations are also telephonic.

She has used her expertise along with the technical knowledge of top experts who specialised in advanced biological skincare and treatments along with the assistance of her business partner Louise Mynhardt to develop an outstanding range of products that have been used by top professional aestheticians for over 20 years.

Her main activity when she is relaxing is painting which she started 16 years ago.

Her goal in life is to use her skills to empower people and leave a legacy and life vision.

From IT to beauty....

15 years ago Louise Mynhardt moved next door to Marie Pretorius as it is with Gods plan. i it was destined to be... After a little incident, their friendship started with an apologetic milk tart and coffee...

Louise, an expert in IT for more than 8 years decided to try beauty. After qualifying as a beauty therapist she set up her salon next door to Marie and it was when Marie became ill Louise came in as a partner of Cosmetique 2000.

Louise extended her knowledge of raw materials, formulations, indigenous oils and helped to trade mark all three brands of Cosmetique 2000 – African Earth Treasure (AET), Secret Room and Concepts Resurgence. Louise has played a huge role in establishing Cosmetique 2000 as a reputable cosmetic company used by clients, salons and top TV and film personalities for more than 15 years....

Louise Myhnardt and Marie Pretorius of Cosmetique 2000 have a vision of leaving a legacy in their business. When you see a need to do so, do not ignore it.

Tami Leach, a granddaughter gave them a gift when they sponsored her to attend a course in Beauty Therapy. Tami has become a meaningful part of the company as a junior partner; she fulfils the roll of a therapist as well as being trained in other aspects of running a cosmetic company...

Tami is encouraged daily by the improvement she sees in her client’s skin. It’s a journey you walk with a person, and it gives her great joy when certain skincare issues are resolved. She also feels very blessed and privileged to be able to be in an environment with Marie and Louise, who have been great mentors to her.

She is married to Justin Leach and is a proud mom to a 7 year old boy Troy

Her vision in life is to create sustainable skin care solutions. Tami loves to train and help other therapists in creating the perfect treatment for client individual needs.

A verse very close to her heart and one she strives to live by is “Her children rise up and call her blessed, her husband also and he praises her. Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all. Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates” Proverbs 31 vs28-31

Minette Lesele was born and raised in the rural areas of Rustenburg. She is a proud mother of 3 children and one grandson.  When Minette matriculated in 1994 she moved to Johannesburg to start a new life in the city.

Minette met a lady by the name of Annette Everson who is a qualified cosmetic chemist. Annette realised Minettes potential and trained her to manufacture skincare products. Minette manufactured the Secret Room and African Earth Treasures from 1996 until 2006.

When Annette headed up for one of SAs biggest cosmetic companies, Minette started working at another manufacturing company and carried on making the Cosmetique 2000 products for another 3 years. After that, Minette had to leave due to family responsibilities.

In 2010, Louise and Marie phoned Minette to offer her a position at Cosmetique 2000. As you see, Marie and Louise have always seen Minette as a surrogate daughter and could not bear to have her out of the Cosmetique 2000 family.

Minettes duties at Cosmetique 2000 are Stock Controller, Front Desk/Reception, Quality Control and Administrative duties. Minette also prepares all postage and courier orders that are sent nationally and internationally, she also assists Louise with researching raw materials and formulations.

Minette has also attended a course run through Coschem to empower her professional skills

Minettes vision and desire is to see Cosmetique 2000 grow into a major cosmetic company, in saying so, her heart will always lie with manufacturing and creating products. Minette would love to run the whole Cosmetique 2000 manufacturing department and help to empower others, as Cosmetique 2000 has empowered her.
